Dear Parents,
We went to the computer lab this week and WOW! Your kiddos did a great job! I told them the computers at Great Oaks were very different from the ones at home. We have to start the computer by pushing control, alt, delete....AND hold them down at the same time! Some of us had trouble finding the control and alt buttons but we had friends to help us! THEN, we had to type in our user name : Some typical things that happened:
What number is this, it is not on my keyboard (9 without the curve or 6 with out the curve)
How do I get rid of the wrong number?
I can't find the letter I need?
I typed o's instead of zeros
THEN we typed in our passwords. All of the above happened!
THEN we clicked on KidPix and had to click ACCEPT
THEN we entered KidPix and clicked the pencil tool to draw.
I heard, my mouse wont draw! I said you have to click and hold down the mouse and draw at the same time.
I heard," Just swipe the screen." "No, these screens don't swipe. The mouse is in control! member? Ms. Stockham said that."
I LOVE teaching these cuties! They make me smile ALL day!
